VOXBOX: Garnier Fructis Color Shield Line

I finally got my package in the mail……

My Influenster VoxBox arrived! This time, a hair care line that I was desperately in need of-
a color shield.

Now, I've never been the one to spend great amounts of time in the sun/water for my hair to become damaged and bleached out, but it is summer, and nothing is predictable. After the first time I coloured my hair, the back of my head faded quite nicely, unfortunately. The sun had a good time with that one. *sigh*

Nevertheless, I decided to take a jump and try these products out. Although I don't use shampoo (unless it's sulfate/paraben/silicone free, basically good for my hair) I tested it out, and the results, you ask? Let's just say, things turned out much, much better than expected.

*I received these products complimentary for testing purposes*

The box included a reconstructive shampoo + conditioner, followed by a color shield spritz that is actually a mist- not a line of liquid squirting out of the bottle. Bleh.

After using the shampoo, my hair my was noticeably silkier and didn't feel stripped at all. Bonus. I didn't go through the whole lather, rinse, repeat thing twice. My hair felt just fine after one go.

The conditioner is a whole different story. My hair felt like absolute heaven to detangle. I used a wide-tooth comb, and was ecstatic with the results. I left the conditioner in for about 3 minutes, and rinsed it out with warm water. Moment of silence for detangled, silky, healthy kinks…

Thank you.

I used the spritz as directed- on wet hair before brushing. Since I don't 'brush' my hair, I used my trusty wide-tooth comb to get rid of any infamous tangles that reform one your hair has been tampered with. My hair-- wait for it- my hair had zero knots. Nada. Zip. None.

I couldn't be happier with the results as far as healthy hair. The color shield line was definitely reconstructive, as listed. I even blew-out my kinks and found little breakage, and no fade in colour. Woot Woot! I give this line a definite 5 out of 5 stars. I will keep it on the shelf for the next time I feel like changing up my locks without wanting to sacrifice my hair's health!
