Fresh Manicure for Summer

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted about my nails. I finally had the chance to give myself a proper manicure, complete with a cute, summer fun style! I love this design because it's super simple, and works for both professional functions and casual functions. I've received so many compliments on it!

The colour I used as a base is called "Don't Feed the Hand Models." Read more about this colour and how I used it for another design here!

I added these midi-rings to complete the look. I absolutely love them! I bought them at Aldo Accessories for about $8. They have them for the same price at Urban Outfitters as well!

To achieve the polkadots, I used a dotting tool. Alternates for a dotting tool can be found here!

For a complete manicure, I started by soaking the tips of my fingers in a bowl of soap and warm water. I used a orange-wood stick to push back my cuticles. I followed up with a homemade scrub on my hands, rinsed with warm water, and moisturized with some body butter. I continued by buffing my nails using a buffing cube. Underneath the two coats of "Don't Feed the Hand Models" lies 1-2 coats of base coat to protect my nails! I'm trying my best to keep my nails healthy- I would love to get them to a long length so I can practice some nail art!

What styles will you be trying this Summer?

Happy Fourth of July to all of my American readers!!! Have a fun and safe day!

xoxo,
