Home Remedy for Dry Lips

For almost a month, I've been taking a pill called Accutane to help clear up my skin. We all know how annoying acne can be, and I just want he soft, smooth skin I had BACK.

The Accutane has been working really well, and I already see an improvement in my skin- but of course, there are some side effects. The main one that has been effecting me is DRY LIPS! If you know me, you know I LOVE statement lips. I always have a lip gloss, lip stick, lip stain- or something to make my lips pop. My lips have never been dry up until I began consuming this pill. I hear a lot of other people claiming to have the same problem as me, and I've created a weekly regime to help improve the condition of my lips! Everything used is 100% natural, and can be found in your kitchen cupboards- so not to worry!

Sugary Sweet Lips

1. Grab a small container and add 1/2 tsp of white sugar
2. Add in a bit of extra virgin olive oil (or just olive oil is fine) and mix the two until you have an even, gritty concoction.
3. GENTLY scrub your lips and try to remove the dry, dead skin. Make sure you're not scrubbing too hard, or else you could damage the skin on your lips- and that's painful!
4. Once you wash the scrub off your lips, put some liquid honey on them and leave it for about 20 minutes. Try not to lick it off!

Once you wash the honey off, you should have soft, smooth, tasty lips.  If you can, stay away from glosses, lip sticks and lip stains for a while, and opt for something more moisturizing like Burt Bee's Lip Balm or my fav- VASELINE.

Let me know how this works for you in the comments below! :)
