Black Excellence Mentor: Maya Angelou

My inspiration..... Marguerite Ann Johnson or Maya Angelou is one of the strongest black women I have ever seen.

As a successful poet, author, civil rights activist, producer and more, Maya has not only been able to touch black females alone, but the women of the world have also been empowered by her!
Her level of intelligence and wisdom just does something *shudders*........ she's strong, wise, beautiful, insightful, humble, intelligent, driven.....every single positive word in the dictionary describes her!

Angelou has been awarded many titles, medals and certificates for her work, including a Presidential Medal of Freedom- awarded to her by Barack Obama! With 3 grammys, various Pulizter Award nominations, a National Award of the Arts and over 30 honorary degrees, Maya continues on strong and humble as ever. Her amazing career has been in action for about 44 years- and many more to come!

I present to you, the gorgeous Maya Angelou.

Still I Rise- Maya Angelou
